pensions for Veterans and
surviving spouses.
How are these care services paid for?
Eligible Veterans use this specifically designated
Aid and Attendance pension benefit to purchase
personal care and homemaker assistance.
What does a personal care provider do for me?
We all need a little help from time to time. The
Homewatch CareGivers staff is specially
trained to assist you with any companion care,
personal care or minor medical need – from
taking you to appointments, cooking nutritious
meals, light housework & laundry to taking
care of minor medical needs.
When are these services provided?
You are the boss.The hours are flexible to meet your wants and needs – 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
What are the criteria?
The pension is based on: time in military service, current income, liquid assets, and your level of need for home care services.
What are the pension amounts?
The maximum monthly pensions are:
Veteran with Spouse………$1,743.00 per month
Single Veteran…………… $1,470.00 per month
Surviving Spouse…………$ 945.00 per month
